During Cellfina® treatment, you’ll be asked to stand up where Dr. Mallol will count the dimples on your skin and mark them with a pen. Next, lie down while he uses a stabilize-guided subcision technique in order to remove fibrous bands under the skins’ surface. A specific device is used over affected areas that moves slowly at first but becomes more intense as it goes along – this process typically takes longer if there are many small pockets rather than just one large cavity or depression.

You’ll want to wear compression garments for a few weeks while your skin heals. Compression leggings and other similar clothing help keep the new points of connection that are being created by this procedure in place, reducing dimpling or crinkling. It is important to avoid sun exposure for a couple of weeks while the skin heals.
